"howtocomplain.com is Helping People"

After less than a week online, howtocomplain.com has already received very encouraging reports of people who have benefited from the easy and effective online complaints system. One user reported:

I had been meaning to make a complaint to a Department Store for 6 months... finally got round to it by using your site last Tuesday. Got an excellent reply and compensation on Saturday! So just wanted to say thanks.

Early indications are that already hundreds of people are taking advantage of this unique, user-friendly, one-stop-shop of consumer information.

MP Dr Tony Wright, an early pioneer of effective complaining, has been closely following the development of howtocomplain.com and has commented, "I am delighted to see a source of information like howtocomplain.com has been launched.  People should be able to easily find out what to do when things go wrong and I am pleased that an online facility now exists”.

howtocomplain.com is a free and independent service that will enable people to:

·         Find out how to complain about any issue, from the Health Service to holidays, from rogue traders to the railways and from financial services to the foot and mouth crisis.

·         Educate themselves about their rights and where to get advice and help.

·         Easily and effectively make, escalate and resolve complaints online.

·         Air publicly their views on any issue: government, political, consumer etc.

In particular, howtocomplain.com has brought together, into one source, direct access to public sector complaints processes. This means that people can easily find out how to complain about any public service, whether it’s local or national, and make those complaints online.
