Procedures
howtocomplain.com
contains basic guidelines for complaints procedures divided into
approximately 100 industries and government departments. Each procedure's
page includes a wide variety of links to vetted third party websites
that contain information relevant to complaints. If any of the procedures
provided by us are unclear then you can follow these external links
to obtain further help and information.
Locating
a procedure
1.If
you do know the company, organisation or department name
2.If you don't know the company,
organisation or department name
1.If you know the company or department
name, the
easiest way to track down the procedure is
to enter it in the 'Complaint to' box on the top left of this screen.
You will be presented with a page showing 4 steps of a complaints
procedure. This will inform you of the procedures from complaining
to your local store to complaining to Trading Standards.
2.If you don't know the company or department name,
you can still view the procedures pages by clicking
here.
- Note that
to make a complaint you have to identify an organisation to complain
to. For example, you can find the relevant company or council
by browing the subsector applicable to your complaint.
- If you are
unsure which subsector is valid for your complaint then visit
our Signposts section. This
section contains various practical examples with links to the
relevant complaints procedures page.
- Finally,
if you are still stuck then please feel free to send an e-mail
to us (click here)
and we will try and help point you in the right direction. Please
note however that we are unable to take up complaints for people
on an indivdual basis.
